Motor Hood

SPCC steel motor hood also has a purpose to protect the internal components of the motor from human influence or potential environmental pollution. They can also minimize internal moisture, stains or other air pollutants that are likely to harm working components.

Another use of the motor hood is heat rejection. Heat removal surface or air cooling flow path must be installed in all enclosures so that heat from internal dissipation can be carried away to enable the winding resistance operating within its rated temperature range.
