The taper thread machining of the parts is the final process. During inspection, quality control personnel used the taper thread gauge and found that the thread engagement depth did not meet the drawing requirements – the datum surface of the 1/8-inch thread gauge was out of tolerance. Despite the pressure of the delivery schedule, we immediately activated our quality emergency plan:
1. The technical team completed the reparability assessment within one hour.
2. A rapid remanufacturing process was initiated for non-reparable parts.
3. Priority was given to over-normal production scheduling.

Results:
– The remanufactured parts were inspected with a new taper thread gauge, showing zero deviation in the taper thread depth from the datum surface of the gauge.
– The shipment was delivered on time as originally scheduled.
