CNC Parts - Grease Nozzle

Grease Nozzle Case Study

This custom machined part is a core component of the mold lubrication system. It’s mainly used to accurately inject grease into the sliding parts of the mold (such as guide posts, ejector pins, and sliding blocks, etc.) to reduce friction and wear.

Pain Points:
The nozzle tip, as the functional position, easily wear due to friction with the mold contact area, caused by high-frequency spray vibrations.

Improvement Plan:
Select medium carbon steel (S45C) and apply high-frequency quenching to the nozzle tip, achieving a stable surface hardness of HRC 40-46, which ensures both wear resistance and toughness.

Results:
The average service life of the nozzle has increased from the original 4 months to 9 months, an increase of 125%.

Extrusion nozzles are customizable for a perfect dispense shape/form for your specific needs.
